OMG--the Dakota! My coworkers took me out to lunch there back in 1997 when we found out that I had passed the Bar. Little did I know that the law would fit me about as well as a size 2 dress (I am NOT a size 2!!!)
Brain, how the heck do I keep missing you at the Corner?? My husband and I are there at least once a week!! I hope you are in the mug club...what an awesome, beautiful thing!

Indeed, the Dakota is a good, good thing. I worked at a German restaurant all through high school, so theres a love for all things German, in my heart.
I am not at the Corner as much as I SHOULD be, as yes - I do have a mug. My wife gave it to me as a birthday gift last year!
Are you and your husband going to the Winter Beer Festival? Corner has bus tickets to GR and back for $30 today, and they go up to $35 tomorrow - includes bagels and coffee and beer on the bus! The Festival is on 02/23 at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids. My brother-in-law and I went last year in Lansing, and it was a blast! Tickets for the actual festival are separate, but Corner has those for sale as well.

Clearly, you just need to get to the Corner MORE :) :) Jeff and I went to the Beer Fest last year, too!!! I was great until about 3, when I absolutely had to have pancakes. I have never before, or since, craved pancakes, but there you go. We wandered around until we found some at a diner. We aren't going this year...Jeff is 6'6" and it's hard to sit on buses for a long time...last year to Lansing was okay, but I'm sure about out to GR. Nothing, however, will stop us from going to the Summer Fest :)
